RHMS Families,
Welcome back, Rams! We hope our scholars and families enjoyed a restful and refreshing intersession! As we begin Week 1 of Quarter 2, we are excited to welcome our scholars back to Rogers-Herr Middle School for another quarter of learning, growing, and achieving greatness!
The first quarter brought many opportunities for our scholars to learn, grow, and challenge themselves, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. Now, as we begin a new quarter, it is time to build on that progress, set new goals, and continue pushing toward academic excellence.
Attendance and On-time Arrival Matter
Families, we want to remind everyone of the importance of having all scholars on campus no later than 8:15 a.m. so they are settled and ready to begin Discovery at 8:30 a.m. Discovery is an important part of our instructional day, providing scholars with targeted remediation to strengthen skills where additional support is needed or enrichment opportunities to extend their learning. When scholars arrive late, they miss valuable instructional time designed to support their academic growth and success. We appreciate your partnership in making on-time arrival a priority each day. Every minute matters, and we want every Ram to have every opportunity to be successful.
Hispanic Heritage Month
Rogers-Herr Middle School proudly recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month! This is a special time to celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans who have helped shape our communities and our nation.
At Rogers-Herr, we believe our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We are proud of the many cultures and backgrounds represented within our school community, and we remain committed to creating an environment where every scholar and family feels welcomed, valued, and celebrated.
To our Hispanic and Latino scholars, families, and staff, we celebrate you and the many ways you enrich our Rogers-Herr family!
Recognizing our Custodians
As we begin Quarter 2, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate our incredible Rogers-Herr custodial team in honor of Custodian Appreciation Day! Each day, they work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our school is clean, safe, and welcoming for our scholars, staff, and families. Their hard work, dedication, and pride in our school do not go unnoticed. We are truly grateful for all they do to help make Rogers-Herr a wonderful place to learn and grow. Families, please join us in showing our custodians some well-deserved appreciation! They are an important part of what makes Rogers-Herr Built for Greatness!
Quarter 1 Report Cards
Families, Quarter 1 report cards will be sent home with scholars this Friday, October 16. We encourage you to take time to review your scholar's academic progress, celebrate their successes, and discuss areas where additional growth may be needed. As we begin Quarter 2, this is a great opportunity to set new goals and reinforce the importance of staying focused and giving their best effort each day.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to help every scholar succeed.

Effective Communication
Open and consistent communication between home and school is essential to every child’s success. If you have an immediate concern or question, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher first, as they are the primary point of contact and best positioned to address classroom-related matters.
Should additional support be needed after speaking with the teacher, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s grade-level administrator. We are here to partner with you to ensure the best possible experience for your child.
